Regular biography
KATADA Mai is an Assistant Professor in the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences at The University of Tokyo. Her research focuses on topology, with specific interests in the stable (co)homology of the IA-automorphism groups of free groups and actions of automorphism groups of free groups on spaces of Jacobi diagrams. She is also interested in algebraic structures of the stable (co)homology of (the Torelli subgroups of) the mapping class groups of surfaces and their analogues. Her work includes publications in journals such as Annales de l'Institut Fourier and the Journal of the Institute of Mathematics of Jussieu. She has received the 15th Tachibana Award (for Outstanding Women Researchers).
