Regular biography
Osamu Iyama is a professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on algebra, ring theory, and representation theory, with particular interest in the representation theory of orders. His work explores rings, their representations, and associated categorical structures, as well as their applications in areas such as cluster algebras and non-commutative resolutions of singularities. Iyama has published extensively in leading mathematical journals and has received several awards, including the Inoue Prize for Science and the JSPS Prize. His research has significantly contributed to the fields of triangulated categories and rigid Cohen-Macaulay modules.
