Regular biography
Yukari Ito is a professor at The University of Tokyo in the Department of Mathematics. She holds the position of Deputy Director at the Kavli Institute for the Physics and Mathematics of the Universe (IPMU), starting from 2025/04/01. Her research focuses on algebraic geometry, particularly quotient singularities and their resolutions. Her work explores connections between singularities and superstring theory, aiming to generalize the McKay correspondence to higher dimensions. She has studied crepant resolutions for three-dimensional McKay correspondence and seeks to extend these ideas to non-abelian cases. Ito aims to contribute to mathematical advancements through collaboration at the Kavli IPMU.
