Regular biography

Kazuhiro Ishige is a professor at the Graduate School of Mathematical Sciences, The University of Tokyo, where he is affiliated with the Department of Mathematics. His research focuses on partial differential equations, particularly asymptotic analysis and geometric analysis for solutions to parabolic equations. His work includes the study of qualitative properties, such as the asymptotic behavior and geometric properties of solutions to parabolic equations, as well as the solvability, large time behavior, and blow-up phenomena for semilinear heat equations and systems. He has published extensively in leading mathematical journals and authored a book on geometric properties for parabolic and elliptic PDEs.
