Atsushi KOBAYASHI

Atsushi KOBAYASHI is an Associate Professor at The University of Tokyo, Faculty of Economics. His research focuses on Asian Economic History and Global Economic History, with an emphasis on the autonomous development of trade and international finance in modern Asia and its contribution to the emergence of the modern global economy. His work utilizes empirical analysis based on historical statistics and documents. KOBAYASHI has held academic positions at Nagoya University and Kyoto University, as well as Osaka Sangyo University.
