Pirouz Kavehpour, Ph.D.

Pirouz Kavehpour, Ph.D., is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research interests include biofluids, microfluids, heat transfer, and the study of complex fluids and interfacial physics. He is affiliated with the Complex Fluids & Interfacial Physics Laboratory. Dr. Kavehpour holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Iran, and earned his MS and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island and MIT, respectively. His work has been recognized through various awards and fellowships, including the Army Young Investigator Award and fellowships with the American Society of Mechanical Engineering and the American Physical Society.
