Jason L. Speyer, Ph.D., is the Ronald and Valerie Sugar Endowed Professor of Engineering and Distinguished Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of California, Los Angeles. His research focuses on stochastic and deterministic optimal control and estimation, with applications to aerospace systems, including guidance, flight control, and flight mechanics. He has authored numerous publications in top-tier journals and conferences, covering topics such as X-ray pulsar-based navigation, particle filters, and air traffic flow merging.
