Harvey B. Newman is a Professor of Physics at the California Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy. His research areas include Physics. He holds a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, 1968; Sc.D., 1973; and D.h.c., University Politehnica of Bucharest; Pavol Jozef Safarik University. He served as an Associate Professor at Caltech from 1982 to 1990 and as a Professor from 1990 to 2017, with a break, and resumed in 2022. He was also the Goldberger Professor from 2017 to 2022.
