Regular biography
Alexei Kitaev is the Ronald and Maxine Linde Professor of Theoretical Physics and Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology, within the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy. He holds a Dipl. from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (1986) and a Ph.D. from the Landau Institute for Theoretical Physics (1989). His research areas include Physics and Mathematics. Kitaev has held various positions at Caltech, including Visiting Associate (1998-99), Lecturer (1998-99), Senior Research Associate (2001-02), Professor (2002-13), and Linde Professor (2013-).
