Huy Tuan Huy Pham

Huy Tuan (Huy) Pham is a Professor of Mathematics and Rosenberg Scholar at the California Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy. Pham holds a B.S. from Stanford University (2014), an M.S. (2018), and a MASt (2019) before earning his Ph.D. from the University of Cambridge (2023). He served as a Visiting Associate at Caltech from 2023 to 2025, followed by roles as Assistant Professor (2025–26) and Professor (2026–). His research interests are in mathematics.

Huy Tuan Pham is a researcher at the California Institute of Technology with expertise in Combinatorics, Probability Theory, and Theoretical Computer Science. His work focuses on the rigorous analysis of mean field limits in neural networks, the Kahn–Kalai conjecture, entropic independence, and sampling from spin glasses. He has contributed to understanding spectral independence, coupling, and the spectral gap of Glauber dynamics. His research also explores Latin squares, Steiner triple systems, and edge colorings, as well as the Erdős–Rényi hypergraph and the Lovász Local Lemma. Pham's studies emphasize the interplay between probabilistic methods and combinatorial structures, with applications in algorithmic stochastic localization and high-dimensional expanders.
