Regular biography
Thomas M. Hutchcroft is the Gordon and Betty Moore Professor of Mathematics at the California Institute of Technology, affiliated with the Division of Physics, Mathematics and Astronomy. He holds a B.A. and MMath from the University of Cambridge, completed in 2013, and a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia, completed in 2017. He has been a professor at Caltech since 2021 and was appointed as the Moore Professor starting in 2025. His research areas are in mathematics.
