Sri AravindaKrishnan Thyagarajan

Sri AravindaKrishnan Thyagarajan is a Lecturer in the School of Computer Science at the University of Sydney’s Faculty of Engineering. His research focuses on cybersecurity and privacy, particularly in cryptography, blockchains, and cryptocurrencies. He develops cryptographic and game-theoretic tools to enhance the security, fairness, and accountability of distributed systems. His work has been published at top international venues in security and cryptography, including ACM CCS, IEEE S&P, NDSS, CRYPTO, and EUROCRYPT. Prior to joining the University of Sydney, he was a postdoctoral researcher at NTT Research Inc, USA, and Carnegie Mellon University, working with Elaine Shi. Aravind earned his Ph.D. in Applied Cryptography at Friedrich Alexander Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg, Germany, in 2021, and completed an M.Sc. in Computer Science at Saarland University, Germany, and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at National Institute of Technology, Trichy, India.
