Albert Zomaya

Albert Zomaya is a Professor in the School of Computer Science at The University of Sydney. His research interests include mobile computing, distributed computing and systems software, high performance computing, energy-efficient computing, dependable systems, data engineering and data science, cloud computing, concurrent/parallel systems and technologies, cyberphysical systems and internet of things, and recommender systems. He is the Peter Nicol Russell Chair Professor of Computer Science and Director of the Centre for Distributed and High-Performance Computing. He also holds the title of Chair Professor of High Performance Computing & Networking.

Albert Y. Zomaya is a Peter Nicol Russell Chair Professor of Computer Science at Sydney University, specializing in Green Data Centers, EdgeAI, Parallel and Distributed Computing, Scheduling, and Stochastic Optimization. His research focuses on improving energy efficiency in cloud and edge computing systems, with an emphasis on resource allocation, task offloading, and scheduling algorithms. He has contributed extensively to the development of energy-efficient data center architectures and explored the integration of artificial intelligence in edge computing environments. His work also addresses challenges in federated learning, blockchain applications, and big data analytics, aiming to enhance system performance and sustainability.
