Alan Fekete

Alan Fekete is Professor of Enterprise Software Systems within the School of Computer Science at The University of Sydney. His research interests include Programming languages, Database systems, Dependable systems, Networking and communications, Concurrent/parallel systems and technologies, Cloud computing, Software engineering, Distributed computing and systems software, Data management and data science, and Curriculum and pedagogy. He has been an academic at The University of Sydney since 1988 and was promoted to Professor from 2010. His motivation is to improve the state-of-practice in the IT profession when dealing with enterprise software. He aims to provide intellectual tools that will help software developers who work with or design major infrastructure "systems" software, such as communication networks and databases. His teaching philosophy is to help enterprises by producing graduates who will advance the state-of-practice in the IT profession.

Alan Fekete is a Professor of Enterprise Software Systems at the University of Sydney, specializing in Database Management, Transaction management, Distributed Systems, and Computing education.
