Dr. Qiang Tang is an Associate Professor at The University of Sydney's School of Computer Science. His research interests include cryptography, data security and protection, coding, information theory and compression, data and information privacy, distributed systems and algorithms, distributed computing and systems software, cybersecurity and privacy, and other information and computing sciences. He is also the Security Theme Lead at the ARC Center of Excellence MathQuEST. Previously, he was an assistant professor at New Jersey Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2021 and a postdoc at Cornell. His work has been published in leading venues in security, cryptography, and distributed computing.
