Dr. Thomas Schutzius is an Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, where he serves as Chair. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in January 2023. Previously, he was an Assistant Professor at ETH Zurich, leading the Laboratory for Multiphase Thermofluidics and Surface Nanoengineering. His research focuses on energy, surface science, and thermofluidics, with an emphasis on interfacial and micro-nanoscale transport phenomena.
