Costas Grigoropoulos

Costas P. Grigoropoulos is the A. Martin Berlin Chair and Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Assistant Professor in 1990, following a tenure as Assistant Professor at the University of Washington. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 1993 and to Professor in 1997. His research interests include laser materials processing, micro/nano-machining, fabrication of flexible electronics, and energy conversion devices. He is also a Faculty Staff Scientist with the Environmental Energy Technologies Division of the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory.
