Chris Dames is the Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley. He is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and holds the Howard Penn Brown Chair in Mechanical Engineering. Dames received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2006 and his B.S. and M.S. from UC Berkeley in 1998 and 2001, respectively.
