Mylène Struijk

Dr. Mylène Struijk is a lecturer in Business Information Systems at The University of Sydney Business School. She obtained her PhD in Information Management at Tilburg University, The Netherlands, with a cum laude distinction. She also holds a cum laude MSc. degree in Information Management from Tilburg University. Her research revolves around the tensions brought forward by digital technologies and their implications in and beyond critical settings, such as the military and crisis management (emergency responders). Her research to date has been published in the Information Systems Journal, and at various prestigious conferences, such as the Academy of Management and the International Conference on Information Systems (ICIS). Her research on digital transformation in the military was among the top 10 most-cited papers published by the Information Systems Journal in 2023. She has also published a book chapter on crisis management. Mylène serves as an Associate Editor for the Information Systems Journal, and regularly serves as an Associate Editor for leading conferences, such as ICIS.
