Michael Bell

Michael Bell is a Professor at The University of Sydney, affiliated with the BUS department. His research interests include ports and maritime logistics, transport network modelling, traffic engineering, and intelligent transport systems. Prior to joining The University of Sydney in 2012, he was a Professor of Transport Operations and Director of the Port Operations Research and Technology Centre (PORTeC) at Imperial College London. He holds a BA Cantab, MSc, and PhD, and has held academic positions at various institutions, including the University of Cambridge, Leeds University, University College London, and the Technical University of Karlsruhe. His work includes authoring books and numerous papers, and he has contributed to transportation research for over 30 years.
