Matthew Beck

Matthew Beck is a Professor at The University of Sydney, Department of Business School (BUS). His research interests include road transportation and freight services, passenger needs, air transportation and freight services, intelligent mobility, rail transportation and freight services, public transport, human geography, transport planning, public health. His work explores the impact of COVID-19 on travel activity and behaviour, decision making processes for infrastructure investment decisions, pricing of infrastructure assets, and the role of the built environment in route and residential choice. He has published in leading journals and consults across various industries. Beck has developed and teaches quantitative and economic analysis units for the Master of Management / CEMS and the MBA programs. He has also contributed to curriculum development for infrastructure economics and supply chain planning and design.
