Mark Westcott

Dr Mark Westcott is a senior lecturer at the University of Sydney Business School. His research focuses on workplace industrial relations and corporate governance, with publications in leading Australian and international journals. He is developing a research program examining financialisation and inequality, particularly the evolution of financial markets and institutions in Australia and their impact on employment and labour management. His work includes examining the effect of alternative investment funds on labour management practices in Australia. He has collaborated with Professor Greg Patmore on a history of an Australian mutual health fund and is editing a thematic issue of Labour History on the Labour Movement, Mutuals and Cooperatives. Mark teaches in the areas of management and organisations, sociology of work and theories of work and organisation.
