John Rose

John Rose is a Professor at The University of Sydney, affiliated with the BUS department. He rejoined the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies as the Neil Smith Research Chair in Sustainable Transport Futures in October 2022. He completed his PhD at the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies under the supervision of Professor David Hensher, focusing on Transport Economics and optimal design theory for discrete choice experiments. John has published over 300 scientific articles and held editorial roles in several journals. He has secured numerous grants and conducted industry-based contract research since 2005. He is also director of several companies and co-developer of the Ngene software.
