David Hensher

David Hensher is Professor of Management in The Business School at The University of Sydney. His research interests include civil engineering, intelligent mobility, transport economics, and public transport. He is Founding Director of the Institute of Transport and Logistics Studies (ITLS), which is ranked under Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) at level 5. Hensher has advised numerous government and private sector organisations on transportation matters, including forecasting demand for transportation services and transport reform. He has published extensively in leading transport and economics journals and authored 17 books. His work has been cited over 84,600 times, and he is recognised as Australia's most cited transport academic.
