Regular biography
Dr. Hongzhi Tang is a faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on environmental microbiology and synthetic biology. As vice dean of the school, he leads initiatives in academic and research development. Dr. Tang's work includes studies on bioremediation, microbial degradation of pollutants, and synthetic biology applications. He has published extensively in high-impact journals, including Nature and mBio, and has contributed to advancements in biodegradation and microbial engineering. His research has been supported by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.
