Regular biography
Bingru Liang is a faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Their research focuses on environmental microbiology, particularly the degradation of pollutants such as estrogen and phenanthrene. Liang has contributed to the identification and characterization of bacterial strains capable of degrading various contaminants, including 17β-estradiol and 17α-ethynylestradiol. Their work includes the study of metabolic pathways and functional genes involved in pollutant degradation, as well as the exploration of microbial adaptation to adverse environmental conditions. Liang's research has been published in journals such as J Hazard Mater and Microbial Cell Factories.
