Boyang Qin

Boyang Qin is a Faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on single-cell mechanisms underlying bacterial multicellular development, including biofilm formation, dispersion, and host-immune interactions. Qin employs advanced microscopy, molecular labeling, mutagenesis, and biophysical modeling to study these processes. He is also interested in morphogenesis and form-to-function control in bacterial communities, exploring biomechanics, genetic regulation, and functional control.
