Regular biography
Haifeng Chen is a Faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on precise force field development for intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and computer-aided drug design. He has contributed to the creation of force fields such as ff99IDPS, ff14IDPS, and ff03CMAP to enhance the modeling of IDPs. His work includes studies on HIV-1 protease, integrase, and other targets, utilizing methods like 3D-QSAR and molecular dynamics simulations. Chen has published extensively in journals such as J. Chem. Theory Comput., J. Chem. Inf. Model., and Nucleic Acids Res. He has also received academic awards, including the First Prize of Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award in 2003.
