Guoqiang Huang

Regular biography

Guoqiang Huang is a Faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include plant root development, root-soil communications, the molecular mechanisms of plant root development, and signal communications between roots and soil. His work focuses on AI-mediated biological evolution, particularly in the areas of root-soil interaction and directed modification of roots, as well as the directed evolution of small molecules. Huang has published extensively in leading scientific journals, including Science Advances, Current Biology, and Plant Physiology. He is also involved in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses such as ET Innovation Lab, Developmental Cell Biology, and Plant Biology.
