Dan Li

Dan Li is a faculty member in the School of Life Sciences and Biotechnology at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Her research focuses on the molecular mechanisms of protein phase separation and amyloid aggregation, as well as protein homeostasis in aging and neurodegenerative diseases. Dr. Li joined the Bio-X Institutes at Shanghai Jiao Tong University as a principle investigator in 2017. She received her Ph.D. from Peking University and conducted postdoctoral research at the University of California, Los Angeles, under the supervision of Dr. David Eisenberg. Her work has contributed to understanding the role of amyloid structures in neurodegenerative conditions, including Parkinson's disease.

He also investigates the role of phase separation in disease mechanisms, such as the hyperactivation of the MAPK pathway in SHP2 mutants. His studies aim to uncover the molecular basis of neurodegeneration and develop therapeutic strategies for related disorders.
