Preetika Joshi
Regular biography
Preetika Joshi is an Assistant Professor of Accounting in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. Her research focuses on Big Data & Machine Learning, Capital Markets, and Corporate Taxation. She investigates the determinants, economic consequences, and real and capital market effects of taxation. Joshi's work includes examining how private country-by-country reporting influences tax avoidance and income shifting in multinational banks. She has published in journals such as the Journal of Accounting Research and Contemporary Accounting Research. Her research is supported by grants and scholarships, including an SSHRC Insight Development Grant and the Susan Mann Dissertation Scholarship.
