Regular biography
Julia Scott is a Senior Faculty Lecturer (Retired), Accounting, affiliated with the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. She joined McGill in 2000 and served as Director of the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting (GCPA) Program from 2010 to 2020, overseeing the transition in accounting education. She teaches Advanced Financial Accounting and Financial Statement Analysis in the Bachelor of Commerce program, as well as various courses in the GCPA program and the McGill Executive Institute's Mini MBA. With over 30 years of teaching experience, she has authored numerous textbook supplements and contributed to academic publications. Prior to her teaching career, she worked in Toronto with the Toronto Dominion Bank and obtained her CA (CPA) with Ernst & Young.
