Regular biography
Jean-Louis Goffin was a Professor Emeritus in Operations Management at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management. He joined McGill's Faculty of Management in 1976 after previously serving as an Assistant Professor at l'École des Hautes Études Commerciales in Montreal. Dr. Goffin taught undergraduate and graduate courses, including Operations Research, Applied Optimization, and Simulation of Management Systems. His research focused on optimization methods, particularly the development of the Analytic Center Cutting Plane Method (ACCPM), which has been applied to various problems in operations and management. He also held visiting positions at Stanford University and the Université Catholique de Louvain. His work appeared in numerous academic journals and conferences.
