David Schumacher

David Schumacher is an Associate Professor, Finance | Area Director, Finance at the Desautels Faculty of Management, McGill University. His research focuses on global investment management, including portfolio choice and performance of international institutional investors, the financial market implications of large asset management firms, and the industrial organization of the global investment management industry. His work has been published in leading academic journals such as the Journal of Finance and The Review of Financial Studies. Schumacher teaches courses in Mergers & Corporate Reorganizations and Corporate Mergers. Prior to joining McGill, he obtained a PhD in Finance from INSEAD.
