Daphne Demetry is an Associate Professor, Strategy & Organization, in the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University. Her research focuses on Culture & Consumption, Economic Sociology, Entrepreneurship, and Organizational Theory. She joined the faculty in 2017 after a post-doctoral research fellowship at the Centre for Corporate Reputation at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Demetry holds a PhD in Sociology from Northwestern University and uses ethnographic and qualitative methods to study how entrepreneurs and organizations create and negotiate meaning in interactions with their audiences, particularly in the craft and creative fields, including the culinary industry.
