Fabian Rotermund is a Professor and KAIST Endowed Chair Professor in the Department of Physics at KAIST. His research focuses on Optics and Laser Physics, with an emphasis on developing ultrafast solid-state lasers and exploring waveguide lasers for applications in fast sampling and high precision metrology. He is also involved in the development of novel saturable absorbers based on low-dimensional carbon nanostructures. Rotermund joined KAIST in 2016 after serving as a Professor at Ajou University from 2002 to 2016.
