Regular biography
Cho, Gilyoung is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics at KAIST. His research focuses on Theoretical Condensed Matter Physics and Quantum Information Science. He is interested in strongly correlated systems, topological phases of matter, and quantum technologies. His work combines quantum field theory, computational methods, and quantum simulators to study many-body quantum states. Cho joined KAIST in 2024 after serving as an Assistant Professor at POSTECH from 2018 to 2024. He holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of California, Berkeley, and a B.A. in Physics from KAIST.
