Maryna Viazovska is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics (MATH). She holds the Chair of Number Theory and is involved in teaching and administrative roles within the institution. Her research interests include number theory, with a focus on modular forms and their applications. She has contributed to various areas of mathematics, including discrete mathematics, quantum error correction, and formal mathematics with Lean and AI. Viazovska has been recognized with several awards, including the Fields Medal in 2022 and the Ruth Lyttle Satter Prize in Mathematics in 2018. She also supervises PhD students and offers courses such as Discrete Mathematics, Formal Mathematics with Lean and AI, and Number Theory II.b - Modular Forms.
