Laura Grigori

Laura Grigori is a Full Professor at École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), affiliated with the Department of Mathematics (MATH). She holds the Chair of high performance numerical algorithms and simulations. Her research interests include numerical linear algebra, deterministic and randomized algorithms, high performance computing for scientific applications, high dimensional problems and tensor computations, as well as applications in astrophysics and molecular simulations. She is also involved in combinatorial scientific computing and mathematical software. Grigori has received several awards, including the SIAM Fellow title for contributions to numerical linear algebra, and has been recognized for her work on communication-avoiding algorithms.
