Regular biography
HAMBA Fujihiro is a faculty member in the Department of PHY at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on fluid physics, particularly the physics and modeling of inhomogeneous turbulence. His work involves deriving turbulence models using statistical theory for turbulence and investigating the mechanism of turbulence through numerical simulations. Current research topics include hybrid turbulence models, analysis of nonlocal eddy viscosity and diffusivity in turbulence, and modeling the dynamo mechanism in magnetohydrodynamic turbulence with applications to astronomical magnetic fields.
