EJIRI Akira is a Faculty member in the PHY department at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on Plasma Physics, with an emphasis on fluctuations in plasmas characterized by nonlinear responses and strong interactions. His primary plasma device is the TST-2 spherical tokamak at The University of Tokyo, operated in collaboration with Prof. Takase's group. Typical plasma parameters include a major radius of 0.38m, minor radius of 0.25m, toroidal magnetic field of 0.2 T, and plasma current of 100 kA. He also participates in experiments at the LHD (NIFS) and JFT-2M (JAERI) devices.
