Regular biography
Yoshinori Yamanoi is an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on the development and study of nano-scale materials with novel functionalities, particularly in the areas of organic and inorganic chemistry, as well as material chemistry. Yamanoi's current work involves creating functional materials by modifying inorganic compounds, such as nanoparticles, with organic compounds, using biochemical and physical chemistry methods. His research interests include artificial photosynthesis, hybrid materials combining bio-molecules, organic compounds, and inorganic compounds, as well as semiconductor substrates for nanoparticle stabilizers aimed at developing conductive nano dots.
