Regular biography
Takehiko Sasaki is an Associate Professor in the Department of CHEM at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on surface physical chemistry, particularly chemical processes and catalytic chemistry on solid surfaces. Current research interests include high-resolution electron energy loss spectroscopy, observation of surface reactions via electron-stimulated processes, synthesis of nanomaterials for catalytic applications, development of metal ion-containing ionic liquids, and analysis of catalytic reactions using density functional theory calculations. His work explores solid surfaces, catalysts, and surface chemistry with applications in nanomaterials and ionic liquids.
