Regular biography
Masaki Takeuchi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry at The University of Tokyo. His research focuses on biological chemistry and cell biology, specifically the in vivo imaging of intracellular protein trafficking and signal transduction pathways. Takeuchi employs optical probe molecules, including fluorescent and luminescent proteins, to conduct noninvasive imaging analyses of these biological processes. His work aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms underlying intracellular protein trafficking and signal transduction. Takeuchi is affiliated with the Graduate School of Science and holds a research interest in GFP and luciferase technologies.
