Regular biography
SUN Fanghong is a faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on fabrication and application of ultra-hard coating tools, cutting and grinding technology, equipment for fabricating chemical vapor deposition diamond films, and computer modeling techniques for thin film deposition and characterization. He has led numerous research projects, including those funded by the National High-Tech Research and Development Program and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. His work includes the development of diamond-coated tools and equipment for high-efficiency machining of composite materials. SUN has published extensively in journals such as Diamond and Related Materials and Surface Engineering.
