MA Tao is a Faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include hybrid renewable energy technologies, energy-efficient and sustainable energy technologies for buildings and cities, colored and semi-transparent photovoltaic devices for buildings, and thermal physics and thermal management of solar photovoltaics. He has been affiliated with Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2020, holding the rank of Associate Professor until 2025, when he was promoted to Professor. MA Tao has led and participated in numerous research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Science and Technology of China.
