Regular biography
HUANG Yu is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research focuses on human response to vibration, psychological acoustics, and vibration and noise control. He has published several papers in journals such as the Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Ergonomics, and Applied Acoustics. HUANG joined the Institute of Vibration, Shock & Noise as a Lecturer in 2015 and was promoted to Associate Professor in 2021. His work includes studies on the discomfort caused by noise and vibration, as well as the effects of exposure duration on subjective discomfort.
