Regular biography
GAO Feng is a professor in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include machine design, parallel robot, and mechanism. He has led numerous research projects, including those funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Shanghai Science and Technology Commission. His work focuses on the development of robotic systems for applications such as urban fire rescue, nuclear power emergency relief, and micro-manipulation technologies. He has also contributed to the design of heavy machinery and virtual axis machine tools. GAO Feng is currently the Director of the Institute of Design and Control Engineering for Heavy Equipment and the State Key Laboratory of Mechanical System and Vibration.
