DU Shichang

DU Shichang is a Faculty member in the Department of Industrial Engineering and Management at the School of Mechanical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include manufacturing system modeling, prediction, and monitoring for throughput and quality improvement. He has led and co-led several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Key R&D Plan, and industry partners. His work focuses on areas such as error modeling, quality control, and surface metrology. DU has authored and co-authored numerous publications in international journals and has contributed to the field through his academic and research activities.

Shichang Du is a professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, specializing in statistical process control, quality control, and manufacturing process modeling. His research focuses on improving manufacturing efficiency and product quality through advanced analytical techniques. He has published extensively on topics such as prognostics and health management, transfer learning for fault diagnosis, and optimization of machining processes. His work includes developing hybrid transfer learning frameworks for rolling bearing reliability prediction, as well as exploring the use of high-definition metrology for surface quality improvement. Additionally, he has contributed to flexible job shop scheduling with resource constraints and the application of deep learning for open-set diagnosis transfer.
