Regular biography
DING Han is a Faculty member in the School of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University. His research interests include Robotics and Advanced Electronic Manufacturing. He obtained his Ph.D. from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in 1989 and was supported by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation during his time at the University of Stuttgart, Germany, from 1993 to 1994. He served as a 'Cheung Kong' Chair Professor at Shanghai Jiao Tong University since 2001. DING has published extensively in international journals such as IEEE Transactions on Robotics and has contributed to significant research projects, including the Major Project of National Natural Science Foundation of China. He is a senior member of IEEE and has served as an Associate Editor for IEEE Trans. on Automation Science and Engineering.
